Hi! I’m Yasmine- a 20 something adventurer, content creator and travel writer.
I am a "third culture kid," having spent my childhood between New York City and the coast of North Africa, so travel has been a part of my life since before I can remember. I have always believed that the most important step in understanding the world and creating positive change is through travel.
My travels have always fueled my passion for telling stories that incite action. In 2015, my debut novel Spirit of the Wind, was published to encourage wildlife conservation and led me to speak to hundreds of students throughout the U.S at schools, venues & leadership summits, alongside the likes of acclaimed personalities including Jeannie Gaffigan. In 2017, I initiated my first humanitarian project with an NGO called The Azraq Fund after visiting their school for Syrian refugees in Jordan. I created a successful fundraiser & social media campaign that maximized fundraising for the organization and raised global awareness about the refugee crisis.
I've continued to venture around the world, fueled by a thrill of discovering the unknown and learning about this incredible planet we call home. I started backpacking solo at 19, when I traveled to Hong Kong and Bali before studying in Australia- right as a global pandemic swept the world. Two years later, I left to travel the world fulltime and spent over a year on the road- from the Balkans to Latin America.
Along the way, I began sharing my travels on social media, including tips and tricks I'd picked up over the years, destination guides, stories of local people and more. This ultimately led to the growth of a like-minded community on social media and a multitude of creative projects.
My biggest goal is to tell stories that matter, amplify local voices and encourage other young people to get out there and explore this beautiful world.
